I feel this so deeply. All the trade-offs of divorce - the financial hit, having to share custody - have hurt so much more in reality than the anticipation, which was hard enough! There’s no sugarcoating the financial pressure and I appreciate your honesty. I feel so much the same way - so grateful for my new (much smaller, simpler) home, so infuriated and jolted by what I lost. The freedom is truly priceless - but so is financial peace of mind. It’s a bitter pill to swallow
