I love this beautiful and empowering piece. As a 51 yo woman who recently exited a 27 year relationship, I feel this so keenly - the difference between the ideals I was raised on and the reality. I am in a relationship now but I never want to be married or live with a man again - I have to believe that everything I need I have within myself. If I find a partner who complements that then great - if not, I’ve got myself.
