Thank you for sharing your mom's story with me, it brought tears to my eyes. The pull between our devotion to our kids and our desire to be able to provide for ourselves is intense. We think we are making the "right" choices - sometimes it doesn't even feel like a choice as much as the only option we can live with - and we cannot predict how life will change down the road. I'm very sorry for your loss, and I truly appreciate your cheering me on :)
