The funny thing about it is that I do want a relationship — but like two days a week! I want the rest of the time to be with my kids or friends or alone experiencing the world as only I want to. I’m no longer goal oriented in my relationships, ie I’m not trying to build toward anymore than enjoying time together on a limited basis with someone whose company I enjoy. Period. That’s very hard for people to accept, friends and strangers, which I believe says more about them than me, but I obviously have lots of thoughts and feelings about it :)
